The FBI announces the arrest of Joshua Gonzalez, 30, of
North Miami Beach, Florida, on federal charges for his alleged involvement in a
bomb threat to an elementary school in North Miami Beach, Florida, on March 6,
2018.
Gonzalez was taken into custody without incident on March 9,
2018 in North Miami Beach, Florida.
FBI Miami and Miami Dade Police Department jointly worked
this investigation. Miami Dade Police
Department provided considerable resources and expertise to this investigation.
On March 12, 2018, Gonzalez appeared before the United
States District Court, Southern District of Florida for his initial
appearance. Gonzalez was remanded to the
custody of the United States Marshal's Service pending a detention hearing on
March 16, 2018.
