SOUTH BEND - Brittany N. Stenberg, age 30, of South Bend,
Indiana, was sentenced before South Bend District Court Judge Jon E. DeGuilio
for the crime of transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual
activity, announced United States Attorney Thomas L. Kirsch II.
Stenberg was sentenced to 120 months imprisonment followed
by 5 years of supervised release.
According to documents in this case, from September 30,
2014, to October 3, 2014, Stenberg transported a minor from Indiana to Illinois
for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of
Investigation with the assistance of the Cook County, Illinois, Sheriff’s
Department. The case was handled by
Assistant U.S. Attorneys John Maciejczyk and Molly Donnelly.
