U.S. Marshals Arrest Vermont Violent Fugitive to Hineburgh

Burlington, VT -- The U.S. Marshals Service Vermont Violent Offender Task Force (VVOTF) arrested a Vermont Violent fugitive in Hinesburg, Vermont.

Shawn Riley, 43, of Burlington, Vermont was arrested in Hinesburg, Vermont on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 when located by Deputy U.S. Marshals. Riley, who has an extensive criminal history, had an active Vermont arrest warrant, dated April 1, 2014 for Assault and Robbery, Buying/Receiving/Selling/Possessing Stolen Property, Operating with Owners Consent, Attempting to Elude Police and Gross Negligent Operation. Riley’s criminal charges stemmed from a Burlington Police Department incident.

Riley was lodged at Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility on 10,000.00 bail and will be seen in Chittenden Superior Court, Criminal Division on June 4, 2014.
