Task Force Arrests Fugitive in Richmond

Burlington, VT - The U.S. Marshals Service, Vermont Violent Offender Task Force (VVOTF) arrested a fugitive who was wanted for Assault and Robbery charges.

Jake N. Chittenden, 22 of Jericho, Vermont was arrested January 15, 2014 in Richmond, VT by the U.S. Marshals Task Force. Chittenden was wanted by the Burlington Police Department for an Assault and Robbery that occurred on 06/10/2013.

Chittenden has a history of drug violations and property crime related offenses in Chittenden County. These offenses include receiving stolen property, unlawful trespassing, marijuana distribution and failure to appear at court proceedings.

The arrest was a result of a culmination of investigative efforts by the U.S. Marshals Service in the District of Vermont, the Vermont State Police, the Richmond Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations.
