U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests Harrisburg Homicide Suspect



Harrisburg, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Edgardo Sobrado-Rivera, a 32-year old man on homicide and related charges.

On August 20, 2016, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police was called to a shooting that occurred in the 300 block of Hummel Street. They found Henry Liriano-Aquino a 45 year old man in the street with a gunshot wound. The victim died while being transported to the hospital. It is alleged that Sobrado-Rivera was the shooter. On August 24, 2016 the Harrisburg Bureau of Police obtained an arrest warrant charging Sobrado-Rivera with homicide and other related crimes.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Sobrado-Rivera on 4100 block of King George Drive in Lower Paxton Township without incident. Also located and arrested at the residence was Sobrado-Rivera’s wife Denise Rivera. Mrs. Rivera was arrest on drug related charges. Both were turned over to the Harrisburg Bureau of Police pending judicial proceedings.

United States Marshal Pane stated, “The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force places a high priority on arresting violent offenders, especially those who have no regard for human life. We will continue to work together with our law enforcement partners and the community to help make our streets safer. “

The USMS Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 21 state, county and local police agencies; including the Harrisburg Bureau of Police and Lower Paxton Police Department – which works alongside the USMS every day.
