FBI Seeks Public’s Assistance in Identifying the Bare Arm Bandit

The FBI, Orange County Sheriff’s Department, and the Santa Ana Police Department are seeking information from the public leading to the identity of an unidentified white male bank robber known as the “Bare Arm Bandit,” believed to be responsible for robbing two banks in Orange County, California, during the past two weeks. During the bank robberies, the suspect was described as being impatient while he demanded cash and allegedly told the victim tellers to “Hurry.” In addition, the suspect motioned toward his waistband during the robberies, possibly to simulate a weapon. The suspect wore sleeveless shirts and a baseball cap during both robberies. He was described as “muscular” and unshaven.

The suspect is further described as follows:

■Height: approximately 6’0” tall

■Age: approximately 25 years old

The bank robberies linked to the Bare Arm Bandit are listed below:

■The June 7 robbery of the Wells Fargo branch at 1315 East 17 in Santa Ana

■The June 16 Wells Fargo branch at 27 North Main in Santa Ana
