The bank robbery took place on September 1, 2011 , when at approximately 10:00 a.m., a Chase Bank branch located at 513 Central Avenue, Highland Park, IL, was robbed.
According to witnesses, the robber entered the bank wearing a plain dark-colored baseball cap and approached the counter. The robber passed the teller a demand note, which announced the robbery. Although the robber implied that he had a weapon, no weapon was displayed. The teller retrieved money from the teller drawer and turned it over to the robber, who then walked out of the bank branch.
The “Stick Figure Bandit” is described as a white/male, approximately 5’9” - 6’0” tall, with a very slender build. He wore a dark-colored baseball cap with no logo, blue jeans, a blue long-sleeved button down shirt, and carried a bright yellow backpack with black stripes.
